Senior Services
Senior Specialty Unit
This unit specializes in the treatment of dementia and addresses the specific complications related to this illness. The program also includes support and educational sessions for caregivers of memory-impaired adults.
Neuro-Psychiatric Unit
Individuals suffering from psychiatric symptoms associated with a neurological disorder (Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, stroke, etc.) receive multidisciplinary care for psychiatric and physical needs on this 12-bed unit.
Transitional Intensive Care
Individuals, ages 50 and older, with chronic mental illnesses, such as Schizophrenia or Bipolar Disorder receive inpatient psychiatric treatment on this unit.
Geriatric Treatment Program
Life transitions, losses and medical problems can complicate the aging process. Approximately 30% of individuals over 65 will experience major depression at some point within the next three years. This program is designed to meet those needs along with other mental health issues facing the senior adult.
